Hamasaid Hasan is a well-known Kurdish poet, writer, essayist, and prose writer. A prolific writer and active intellectual, he has published scores of books and many essays in Kurdish. He has worked in the fields of literary research, cultural criticism, translation, and poetry. He is the author of sixty published works. He served as the representative of writers from Sulaimaniyah at the headquarters of the Kurdish Writers' Union. He was a member of the Swedish Writers' Association and editor-in-chief of the journal Kharmana, published in Sweden in the early 1990s. He speaks Kurdish, Arabic, and Swedish. Examples of his works in English, German, Spanish, Arabic, and Persian are also available. In 2004, the Aras Foundation awarded him the Literary Prize, and in 2020, the Foundation for Gender Equality presented him with the Diamond Raw Award.

Prof. Dr. Mohsen Ahmad Omer

Mohsen Ahmad Omer is a professor in generale and comparative literature, currently an active member of the Kurdish Academy and editor-in-chief of its magazine. He received his BA in Kurdish Language and Literature from the University of Baghdad in 1986. He received his MA and PhD from the University of Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III in 1996. From 2006 to 2014, he headed the French department. His research focuses on comparative literature, literary theory, literary history, and French literature. He taught modern French and Kurdish literature for twenty years, translating most of Albert Camus's work from French into Kurdish. He also translated Edward Said's Orientalism and the Anthology of Two Hundred Years of French Poetry into Kurdish.

Pakhshan Fahmi Farho is currently an active member of the Kurdish Academy. She received her B.A. degree in Kurdish Language from Koya University in 2008 and her M.A. degree in Linguistic Information and Communication at Rennes 2 University in 2013 (France). She obtained a Ph.D. in comparative grammar from Salahaddin University in 2022. Her research interest now focuses on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and comparative grammar.
